About Me
| Stephon Johnson aka 1 Shot Dot was born in Brooklyn, NY. As a youth, he recognized his ability to express himself lyrically. He built on his lyrical skills by talking about life growing up in the Ghetto. Loosing a childhood friend @ a very young age influenced Dot to began expressing his innermost feelings on the mic. He was determined not to become a statistic & his outlet was telling the tales from the hood. He soon began writing & recording his music. He then started making beats & producing his own songs. He organized the G.A.T.E. (Going At The Enemy). A movement consisting of a group of individuals aimed at revitalizing & bringing back life to hip hop & Rap. Dot's music has a feel of hardcore rap with a hip hop flava. His music appeals to the Urban American as well as to the Caribean Americans. Dot attributes his musical influence to Biggie, Jay Z, LL Cool J, DMX, Lauren Hill & R Kelly. His music has an old school feel with a new school appeal. Dot recorded his first Cd Reality Check in 2004. Soon after he recorded additional mixed tapes such as Gutter Music, Streets & Stores, My Life is Like a Movies. And now his latest mixed tape 1 Shot Dot features songs such as Particular Lady, Men Lie Women Lie, Silence Ya, Garbage Raps, It's Going Down and many more. Dot has performed at many prestgious venues such as Funkmaster Flex Ski Trip, opening for Joe Buttons, Papoose, & Remy. Kutches in 05 & 07, Brooklyn Festival 07-08 & upstate NY with Cassidy, just to name a few. He plans to grace numerous stages & rock many crowds during the promotions of his mixed tape 1 Shot Dot! 1ShotDot is prepared to take the music Industry by storm. Roaring like Thunder Striking like Lightening (Pull out your umbrellas cause his style is "wet"). Embrace yourself because Dot and his team is about to stir things up like a natural disaster.
