About Me
| We'z (also known as Mr. 3-1-8) is everything that represents the south. Born Anthony Trammel Bruner of Shreveport, Louisiana, this gentleman’s creative soul has always proved himself to be extraordinary. At the age of 9, when other children were intrigued with the newest toys, a young We’z was astounded by the lyrical art of rap. He found himself obtaining inspirational icons such as Prince, Scarface and the most influential, Tupac Shakur. We’z began generating his own music. Strongly motivated by the sophisticated rapping technique of Shakur, We’z felt moved to educate and grow not only as an individual but as an artist. By the time We’z was 14 he was performing his own music. At the age of 16 devastation set in after hearing about the murder of his long time idol, Shakur. He felt Hip Hop lost its essence and that is when We’z really heard his calling. He felt it was his responsibility to mentor younger generations through music as Shakur had done for him. After doing some work related traveling across the United States, We'z went to Boise Idaho where he decided to settle. He became a part of a group called the X-Factors. X-Factors provided We’z with the opportunity to learn more about music and solidify his own method. We’z later decided to pursue a solo career and has since opened up for and performed with countless artists such as WC, D.J. Unk, Baby Boy da Prince, and Turf talk, as well as Coolio, E40 and Mike Jones. Obtaining additional exposure has only fueled this artist to cultivate the Hip Hop scene even more. We’z style is constantly getting stronger and his experience in the music business has easily given him the upper hand in a lot of the challenges the music industry has thrown at him. We’z is on the grind daily taking his art to the next level and reviving the Hip Hop scene, hoping one day he can inspire and motivate others the same way he was. |
