About Me
| Mr. Gallagher was at a young age when many of his life challenges first started. One of these was being put on the streets to raise himself. Even though he starved, had no place to sleep, or feel safe he managed to keep himself in school. This was just the start of the many hardships to come. In school and on the streets, Mr. Gallagher fought to survive and to defend himself against his peers. He eventually fell into drugs. At first the drugs were to make money, but turned into a way to escape his life. This was something he struggled with from then on. Music was something he had always loved. As a young child his grandfather would play his guitar and sing his songs to him. Growing up, before the streets, he was not allowed to listen to rap. The few tapes he had brought home were tossed when found. Back then with few influences such as Big Daddy Kane and Brother Lynch Hung, he was inspired to make his own music. Things didn’t get easier as Mr. Gallagher got older. He became a father at the age of seventeen, dropped out of school, earned his degree, then joined the military to defend his country and support his child and his child’s mother. Soon after the drug addicted mother of his child disappeared taking his first born son with her. All of this happening immediately after the death of his beloved grandmother and his dear friend Randall had passed. This chain of events sent Mr. Gallagher on a path of self destruction. This again stopped when he met his first wife and second son. Working hard through everything to find his oldest son and take care of his new family was straining. Him and his wife eventually grew apart and decided to separate. Deciding it was better to keep a healthy friendship for the son they had and the one on the way. Now a loving father of three wonderful boys, a husband, a soldier and a friend, he can put his life experiences, the good and the bad, into his music. In doing this he hopes to maybe help those that are or have experience these things too. There is nothing more rewarding to him than someone stopping in their tracks to listen to a song he made, because they can relate or “feel” what he is saying in his lyrics. |
